On the other hand, Multimedia and Publicity Bureau created an Instagram account for the project (@bioinfoum_se) and a blog for us to update and share our activities and progress related to the Social Engagement Project.

SITE VISIT ! It was a Sunday morning. Six of us, Zamir, Izzati , Kok Herng, Hafeez, Nazfaezah and I went to the location of the project to survey suitable locations for activities and also accommodation. Kinda like a family road trip in a minivan to the beach 🚐. Yes, the location will be at a beach and nearby villages. A classic place to carry out charity work. Cleaning up beaches, helping villagers etc.
We met the village chief and his secretary to arrange out activities as well as where they will take place. We also went to check out a hotel which accommodates up to 16 people per room.
And here we had a discussion with the hotel manager |
This us having a small meeting with the chief and secretary |

In a meeting with our instructor for this course, Dr. Arpah , it is confirmed that the date of the project is 17th to 19th April 2020. The project will be held in Kampung Sungai Sembilang, Jeram, Selangor. A beach cleaning event will be carried out in Remis Beach, situated near the mentioned village.
Project Director, Zamir, presented the programme tentative and amendments were made based on Dr. Arpah's comments. To add, our team has decided to conduct a gotong-royong event where students will cook 'Bubur Lambuk' that will be distributed to the villagers.
April 27th, 2020 . Week 6, e-learning
Since Miss Corona has caused the whole world to turn upside down, classes are to be conducted online. Hence, the project is now cancelled 😞 and changed to a different method.
We will now have weekly meetings in via Google Meets. In this meeting, Dr. Arpah explained our new assignment to pass this course, which is Ways to Help Vulnerable Groups During The Global Pandemic. We were divided into five groups and are going to present the outcomes on Week 9.
To all my friends, i wish you good luck with the assignment, stay safe and do not inject disinfectant into your veins.
If you read this far, THANK YOU!
Sincerely,
Tasha
