It’s my first posting here and I decided to combine these three meetings in one post because well why not . And I don't know if my grammars are okay or not but if not ... well , buat buat tak nampak :D

On our first meeting, there was an air of ,, I don’t know how to word it but yeah we were pretty awkward to each other or maybe it was just me feeling that way haha . It was our very first course that gathered all of us together in one room since before this , the only time we got to be together was for the meetings with other seniors that also taking Bioinformatics . The meeting began with Dr Arpah briefed us some information about Social Engagement for this semester and how different it is compared to the last few semesters where our seniors did their social engagement course in an orphanage house . She also showed us some examples of the blogs that the seniors made and also the individual’s report and the log book.

After that, we began to choose the members of the high committee for this course , such as the director , the secretary , the treasurer , and the leader for each bureau . Bureau involved is program and protocol bureau , logistics and transportation bureau , sponsorships bureau and multimedia and technical bureau . I decided to join logistics and transportation bureau to gain some new experiences in handling transportation and stuffs.

The meeting ended with Dr Arpah wanting the secretary to prepare a proposal for her and to give it to her on Week 3 and also before that , we also discussed about the place we wanted to go for this course .

On our second meeting , 2 March 2020 , Dr Arpah had a meeting outside and would be coming in late to the class so she asked for Zamir to start the meeting . He decided to do some ice-breaking session with all of us , for us to know each other … kinda .. But anyway after that , Dr Arpah came in and each bureau was presenting about their updates on their own bureau . The Multimedia bureau was in charge of the logos and they were presenting a few of the logos that they made and being questioned about the meaning of the logo in the terms of the designs and the colours that they chose . During this meeting , we were still undecided on which place we should go for Social Engagement . On the last day of Week 3, which was Sunday , 8 March 2020 , I went for a site visit to Kampung Sungai Sembilang , Jeram , Selangor with the others , Zamir , Izzati , Hafeez , Kok and Tasha. It took us about an hour to reach there and the first thing we did as soon as we arrived was meeting the village head of Kampung Sembilang .

Lots of discussions were being talked about such as the homestay , foods during our stays there , the beach cleaning and places where we can do our activities like movie night . After that , we went to see the homestay and the beach also we decided to have our lunch there . Kinda surprised that the ‘ Nasi Goreng Pattaya ‘ that I ordered had seafood hehe anyway , we immediately went back to our dorms after the site visit .

The next day , 9 March 2020 , was our third meeting for Social Engagement . Each bureau presented their updates on their own bureau and we had also confirmed the logo for this course and also the introduction to our blog ! Yeay ! Also , we’ve been told to plan the menus for all of us and find out whose among us have allergic reactions to foods or vegetarians . The tentative for these 3 days and 2 nights events also was revealed so we got the gist of the planning for each day . Oh , the slogan for this course also was revealed which is “ Nurturing environment -  friendly community ” . The meeting just ended with the rest of us discussed with our own respective bureau about this whole event .

And to sum up all these three meetings, I honestly learned a lot although it has been only three meetings like be cooperative and responsible when you’re given a task. It might be bumpy at first but I feel like it will turn out well and smooth as the week passes by. I wish for everyone to be healthy in the midst of this virus outbreak !
